~ Over increasingly large areas of the United States, spring now comes unheralded by the return of the birds, and the early mornings are strangely silent where once they were filled with the beauty of bird song ~

House Wren nest in a basket on my carport.
Don't know if they got the fur lying on the ground
or
off my goat, Patrick :)

How adorable! I bet goat hair makes a perfect nest.
ReplyDeleteWhat a neat photo! Bird nests are always amazing! Thanks for sharing, mine is up as well. Happy Hunting!
ReplyDeleteWhat a pretty little nest! I'll bet the fur came from Patrick. But Patrick looks very nice, I'll bet he was happy to donate some of his furs for the birds.
ReplyDeleteRight, Patrick?
It always amazes me the places birds find to make nests:-) It's also funny to see what they USE to make their nest...dog hair, human hair, string, etc...and now I see even goat hair! lol Great picture for this weeks' theme! Mine is up too:-)
ReplyDeleteAt least once every spring we find a nest in our garage ;)...I hate to guess as to what some of the 'threads' are!! ;)
ReplyDeleteif i could find a nest, i'd definitely take a pic of it! it's just an amazing thing 4me! cute goat! reminds me of my hometown, hehehe! happy hunting!
ReplyDeleteI love birds' nests. We have a pair making one on one of the lights by our front porch this morning. They're driving my cats crazy. :)
ReplyDeletei love your goat :) great pic for the hunt, thanks for visiting us.
ReplyDeleteI'm imagining the birds swooping down and grabbing a hair off Patrick -- gone before he can even react -- and he would have an endless supply of soft, warm nest lining for them. Great take on the theme!
ReplyDeleteI love the nest image! It has such an interesting texture to it.
ReplyDeletePatrick is a very cute goat! What a lovely wren's nest. :) Perfect choice for the theme.
ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting!
Our yard is filled with chickadees. The cats are more interested in hunting voles. Now I need a goat.

ReplyDeleteTara
Thanks for the visit.
Is this a nest they have just built and are planning to use? How lovely... but poor Patrick... having hair plucked from your head... he is probably most annoyed.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the visit.
Birds' nests are so amazing, aren't they? They make them so beautifully. Lovely pictures and lovely goat!
ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting earlier :)
I bet goat hair makes for a soft nest....do the birds dive bomb him or use fur that has already been shredded?
ReplyDeleteThat's a great interpretation. We had a bird build a nest and lay eggs next to our house one spring and it was a wonderful adventure for our whole family to watch the eggs hatch.
ReplyDeleteall too adorable! thanks for visiting.

:)
I thought about posting an empty nest as well, but I used it for a different theme. My friend has a nest made out of fur from her horses.
ReplyDeleteGreat photo's! I love the nest photo and your goat is very cute! Maybe the nest is only temporarily empty.
ReplyDeleteLovely shots. Happy weekend.
ReplyDeleteIt's a wonderful photo and commentary. I read a book about ravens and they will pull fur off of living animals! Not often, but it has been observed. So perhaps they did!
ReplyDeleteLovely photos. That's a nice nest and I'm sure the fur makes it really soft and comfortable.
ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting Bobbie.
