Hello everyone!
We are happy to report that our brofur Napoleon ate some of
his regular (not too good) prescription food for breakfast.
He has to eat k/d and we are surprised that he ate it instead
of asking for that yummy Whiskas Pouch food.

Easy Like Sunday Morning ~ Napoleon

We have had a pretty rough couple of days. After I got home from the vet, my eye started looking very bad. My third eyelid was up, and I would not eat. The vet said it could be Horner's Syndrome then changed it to an inner ear infection. They also cleaned my ears, which I really hate to have done!
We got some Baytril and some Meclizine for vertigo We think it may be Horner's because they had a very hard time stealing my bloods from my neck and had to go to my legs...and maybe did a little damage. We read Horner's does not hurt and I am not showing any sign of pain at all....just not eating.
Momma forced some food into my mouth, but it was not much. We asked on our favorite cat board for suggestions. Momma went this morning and got some Whiskas Pouch Duck and Chicken, baby food, tuna for beans, lunch meat and more stinky cat food. Well, the first thing I tried was the Whiskas and I ATE IT!!
My goodness, you would have thought Momma had just won a billion dollars..she had happy tears and was almost jumping..she knows she can't do that with RA!

So, things are Easy this Sunday Morning, and we sure are glad...

I had my blood work this week because I am a CRF kittycat. The doctor said everything looks good. Momma will continue giving me fluids every other day, as well as my heart medicine.

With great sadness...Zula is gone....

The Elephant Sanctuary

It is with great sorrow that we report that today we lost another of our precious elephants. Even if we were prepared for the loss, even if we had received some advance notice, the shock and sadness would not be diminished. But the suddenness of Zula’s passing has shaken us to our core. Zula, “big sister” and dearest friend to Tange, the nurturer, mature and kind, known to be gentle to everyone she ever met, left us tonight just after 11pm. By all accounts she was healthy and thriving when shortly after entering the barn for an evening meal she was found lying on the floor, struggling to rise. With her caregivers and vets at her side, Zula received emergency medical care in an effort to relieve her anxiety, encourage her to relax and regain her strength, and enable her to rise. When it was determined that the next step would be to hoist Zula onto her feet, she took her last breath and passed away. Zula’s sudden death leaves us with more questions than answers. The deep sorrow is felt by caregivers and elephant family alike. Zula remained in the barn with her sisters while arrangements were made for her necropsy and burial.

One of our internet furiends sent us two of these really cool beds! There were also some great toys that Timothy took control of.

Bandit and I claimed the beds. Timothy has been sleeping in Bandits.

Hi... Anna Sue here..
We have been taking it easy this week, not doing much. I sit with Momma and help her feel better. I think she enjoys me sitting on the desk, well, the keyboard with my paws on her leg. Sometimes I make biscuits, but do not use my claws. She said that hurts! Some wanted to know how to make biscuits without clawing. From this position, I just push, and do not put my claws out. From lying down, I do push my claws out.(My sisfur Miss Emily can not do this).

We hope everybean and everyfur has a happy Sunday and a good week.

I grabbed him from the middle of the street,
Maybe the word is catnapped..in 1994.
He was a crazy little cat and loads of fun.

He was always in the middle of it all..

Bandit grew into a very handsome Mancat...

His last days were comfortable.
