Maggie Mae 1996 ~ 3-29-12

With dancing little furry feet they run across
our hearts and make us weep.
But weep not for pain and sorrow,
for my love I'll see you in a new tomorrow.
from my friend, Carol.

A quick thank you to all our furriends and beans
for the sweet words for Maggie Mae.
We will post more later, as Mom Bobbie feels better.
Purrs to all...
~ The Bunch

*From our friend, Katz*
Forgive me if I weep - she was so sweet,
That little cat who scampered through the house,
Or curled asleep upon the window ledge,
Though still alert to stir of leaf or mouse.
But now she's gone, whose soft paw often touched
My cheek at the first glint of day;
Or with arched back, skipped through the room,
Enticing me to enter in her play.
Oh God, of little cats...my earnest please
Is that while things are strange to her
You may scratch her ears sometimes, let her chase
Celestial mice along the Milky Way.
Just for a little while until she finds
Some chosen spot upon the Outer Gate
When she is weary of her running, where she may
Curl in the sunshine, there to sleep...and wait.

Wednesday with Maggie Mae

A cat's got her own opinion of human beings.
She don't say much, but you can tell enough
to make you anxious not to hear the whole of it.
- Jerome K. Jerome -
Hai Furriends!
Mom just *had* to get that flashy box out and put it
IN MY FACE!
She wanted to tell you that I am getting around pretty well.
I like to sit in front of the little ceramic heater, maybe because
some of my furs are gone, and Mom had to trim some of them.
I hope everyfur has a great Wednesday,
now I'm going to get away from that flashy box!

Miss Emily on Sunday

Through woods and mountain passes
The winds, like anthems, roll.
- Henry Wadsworth Longfellow -
Hai Furriends!
We had a very windy day yesterday.
Mom even let The Boyz stay in the basement last night
because if was going to be 20 degrees, but feel like
six degrees!
We hope all our feral furriends stayed warm.
Our sisfur, Maggie Mae is recovering.
She does not feel very good, please keep her in your thoughts.
Happy Sunday,
~ Miss Emily

Maggie Mae on Saturday

It's hard to be brave when you are only a Very Small Animal.
 -Piglet-
Hai Furriends..
I had a mass removed this past Thursday.
I do not think I like this collar, but my VET said
'Wear It'
Malachi is making sure I can get a drink of water,
but he did not let me drink too much.
I hope to have lots and lots of time to spend with
my furamily and my Mom Bobbie.
She loves me so much,
and I am a very brave little girlcat.
Hope everyfur has a nice weekend.

Mom is out of focus! - Maggie Mae

If the person you are talking to
doesn't appear to be listening, be patient.
It may simply be that he has a small piece of fluff in his ear.
- Winnie The Pooh - I think our Mom has a piece of fluff in her ear!
She is still having pain from those awful Shingles.
They never made a very bad rash, but sure do cause pain.
She is all out of focus and I am, too.
Keep yourself away from Shingles, get the vac!!

Happy Sunday to all our furriends,
~ Maggie Mae

Finally Friday - Maggie Mae

Always keep your words soft and sweet,
just in case you have to eat them.

Happy Friday!

Mancat Monday - Not!

When you aim for perfection, you discover it's a moving target.
- George Fisher -

Hai, I thought you might appreciate one of Moms outtakes
She said she has to take fifty shots to get one good one.
This is MacGruber, who is (I hear) very handsome and cute.
He will be a Mancat one day, but right now he is a baby.
Happy Monday everyfur and Bean!

Thankful Thursday ~ Maggie Mae

Our friend, Deb, had surgery yesterday, and
we are very thankful that she is doing great!

Tummy and Toesies ~ Maggie Mae

Some people walk in the rain, others just get wet.
-Roger Miller-
Hai furiends!
Mom is thinking about asking if anyone around our
neighborhood is building an Ark or at least a boat!
Bob and Patrick sure are miserable, because they
love to lay in the hot, hot sun.
I'm just going to lay around and show off my
Tummy and Toesies!
Happy Tuesday to all our furiends.
~ Maggie Mae

Dear friends, while visiting our furiends blog, we saw
Purrever Ranch Sanctuary
A Hospice for Senior Kittycats.
Our mom has always wanted to do this for cats that no one
wanted, but due to health and financial situation, she can't..
The next time your human has a couple of extra green papers,
maybe they could go by the ranch and donate a little.
Thanks for reading!
Our furiends, The Whiskeratti is where we found this information!
We thank them for posting about the Sanctuary.

Formerly Feral ~ Maggie Mae

A grandmother pretends she doesn't know
who you are on Halloween.

-Erma Bombeck-
I was in a tree at my Grandbeans house about 13 years
ago. It was raining and I was scared. Mom and the
girlbean got me down, but it took THREE days!
Mom took me to a rescue purrson, but they wouldn't take
me. That meant I'd have to go to the county shelter which
is really animal control. Mom didn't want to do that, so
I've been a happy Formerly Feral since that day!
(Mom is not good at fostering, you know)
Happy Friday, and safe Halloween to everybean and furiend!

Formerly Feral ~ Maggie Mae

Every tooth in a man's head is more valuable than a diamond.
-Don Quixote-
In 1996 I was a little feral girl.
My Mom's Daddy (God rest his soul)
saw me in a tree in his yard. It was drizzling
rain and took three days to get me down.
Being Formerly Feral is a good thing!

computer problems, and had a root canal,

we are still here! Will visit when we can,
and hope to have computer fixed soon.

Photo Hunt ~ Warm

In The Heat Of The Night...

Photo Hunters this week are looking for WARM.
I like to sleep on a heating pad and sometimes
two of my sisfurs lay with me.
Thinking about WARM made Momma think of a TV show
that her Daddy was in. It was filmed here and it was
'In The Heat Of The Night'.
Grandaddybean was an extra, but in two episodes he
played a Monk when it was filmed at the
Monastery of the Holy Spirit in our area.
To see what other Photo Hunters for for WARM see:

Photo Hunt ~ Furry

There is, incidentally, no way of talking about cats
that enables one to come off as a sane person.

-Dan Greenberg-

It is a tie!

Today's Photo Hunt is FURRY.
It was a tie between us, Maggie Mae and Anna Sue.
Could you choose just one of us?

Photo Hunt ~ Reflection

There are three methods to gaining wisdom.
The first is reflection, which is the highest.
The second is limitation, which is the easiest.
The third is experience, which is the bitterest.

-Confucius-
Today's Photo Hunt is Reflection.
This is the only photo we have to fit this week
and it is an old one.
We are looking forward to seeing what everyone
else has for this week at TNChicks Photo Hunt.
Come on and join us.

Maggie Mae at vets. Possible stroke.

Everything a cat is and does physically is to me beautiful,
lovely, stimulating, soothing, attractive and an enchantment
.
-Paul Gallico-
Please send Purrs and Prayers to our
Maggie Mae.
~*~*~*~*~*~
UPDATE by Momma Bobbie
Doc is not sure if she had a stroke. When I found her earlier she was walking in circles, could not see.
Her temp was 106 when we got to vet. 103 at 4:00.
Will take again in a couple of hours.

We got back home, she did not walk in circles . I fed her, she ate like a horse.
She is walking around, appears she can see fine.

She is up here on the desk now.
Thank you all so very much for your Purrs, Prayers and concern for my girl!
What a great place The Cat Blogosphere is!!

Tabby Tuesday

Never try to outstubborn a cat
-Lazarus Long-
KittyBoy: Where did my toy go?
Maggie Mae: I think it's behind you.
Gracie: It's mine now. Don't even turn around.

Happy Tuesday everyone.
