PhotoHunt ~ Drink

Let your boat of life be light,
packed with only what you need--
a homely home and simple pleasures,
one or two friends, worth the name,
someone to love and someone to love you,
a cat, a dog, and a pipe or two,
enough to eat and enough to wear,
and a little more than enough to drink;
for thirst is a dangerous thing.

Happy Saturday!

Photo Hunt ~ MacGruber, Male!

Cats' hearing apparatus is built to allow the human voice
to easily go in one ear and out the other.
- Stephen Baker -

Today our little foster will start his journey to his rescuer,
Robin at Kitten Associates in Connecticut
It is also a Photo Hunt Day. The word for today is MALE.
He will be a healthy male, because he got tutored!
I know Mom will miss MacGruber so much,
she spends a LOT of time with him..

He is a funny little guy and has given her many smiles.
We wish him the very best as he begins a new life!

Photo Hunt ~ Itchy

Difficult things take a long time, impossible things a little longer.
-André A. Jackson -

Hai furriends!

Our Mom is having a very difficult time. She has Shingles.

They are very itchy.

She said "Well, at least I have a Photo Hunt for today."

I guess that is looking on the bright side.

Photo Hunt ~ FREE

Follow your passion, and success will follow you.
-Terri Guillemets-

FREE!
No, this Little Black Cat was not free and neither was Grasshopper.
This Little Black Cat IS FREE to live a long and happy life thanks
to many folks on the 'net. Mom saw her on Cat Blogosphere, but
there were many, many posts about her. She will leave Georgia
today to go to Mississippi then Arkansas to her furever home.
We wish her well, and know she'll have a great family.
Mom is sad and happy at the same time.
Yeah, she's still weird.

We hope to get back to more PhotoHunting as soon as Mom is able.

Photo Hunt ~ Fast

Animals are such agreeable friends,
they ask no questions, they pass no criticisms.
-George Eliot-The Photo Hunt theme for today is FAST.
These are two of our Rainbow Angels that
left for the Bridge this year...
Bandit left us January 3rd, at 15 years of age,
KittyBoy left on March 12 he was just over one year .
Time with them was so fast and we miss them so.
For probably happier Fast themes check out
TNCHICKS Photo Hunt.
Happy Weekend to all our furiends..

Photo Hunt ~ Technology

I like my new telephone,
my computer works just fine,
my calculator is perfect,
but Lord, I miss my mind!

Today's Photo Hunt is technology.
As you can see, our Mom has a lot to learn.
Can you tell by my expression that she takes
too many pictures of us?
There are other kinds of technology that we
appreciate, like all these machines that were
hooked up to our Mom for a week in May.

We hope TNChick is all right and will post soon!
Happy Weekend to everyone,
~ Gracie

Photo Hunt ~ Yellow River Floods

Rain~
Whose soft architectural hands have power to cut stones,
and chisel to shapes of grandeur the very mountains.

-Henry Ward Beecher-

For Photo Hunt this week, anything goes!
This is the Yellow River in Porterdale, GA
when we had all the rain last month.
This is usually a quiet, easy flowing river.
Our Mom lived there about a squillion years ago.
You may recognize the mill. It was in many
episodes of The Heat Of The Night television series.
(Mom's Dad was in several, the main one 'Sanctuary')

These are images were taken by Jason Cripps,
check THIS out and meet his partner!

We found them on the City of Porterdale site.
The mill, just 40 minutes from Atlanta,
is now lofts, businesses and yummy food places.
Porterdale is busy and growing again!
Ya'll come on down!

Photo Hunt ~ Sports

We didn't lose the game; we just ran out of time.
-Vince Lombardi-

Today's Photo Hunt is SPORTS. We do not play the same
kind of sports that beans play. Ours are much softer.
These were Christmas gifts for us from our furiends
in South Carolina. Noah and Napoleon decided to try
out the new beds, but I am playing 'Swat This Toy'.

Photo Hunt ~ Upside-down

I simply can't resist a cat, particularly a purring one.
They are the cleanest, cunning, and most intelligent things I know,
outside of the girl you love, of course.
-Mark Twain-

Today the Photo Hunt is Upside-down.
This is one of my most favorite positions!
Come join us and play Photo Hunters at

What can you find that is upside-down?

Photo Hunt ~ Orange

If all the cars in the United States were placed end to end,
it would probably be Labor Day Weekend.
-Doug Larson-

toy has some bright orange!

Photo Hunt ~ Surprise

An animal's eyes have the power to speak a great language.

-Martin Buber-

Somehow we are never surprised to find ourselves
here at our VET. We know before Mom even thinks
about it! Not a fun trip at all, but necessary.
This was taken a couple of months ago.
We seem to end up here a lot (see our charts?)
I got a good report, a treat and then a nice ride,
because riding home is always great!
To see more surprises go to
TNChicks Photo Hunt.
Mom found an injured Dove yesterday.
It was surprised that she picked it up
and took it to the VET.

Photo Hunt ~ Entertainment

If I tried to tell you how much I love my cats,
you wouldn't believe me - unless your heart is also
meow-shaped and covered in stray fur.
-Lexie Saige-

Timothy wants someone to entertain him.

Photo Hunt ~ Utensils

We never know the worth of water till the well is dry.
-Thomas Fuller-

Today the Photo Hunt is 'Utensils'
I am not sure, but maybe one of my water bowls
could be a Utensil. I sure do use it a lot!
Join us at TNChicks to see more Utensils and
feel free to play along. Let's see your Utensils!

Safety never takes a holiday.

I would *really* like to go outside but
Mean Mom said
No, the door stays LOCKed!
(I think we really stretched this week)

Photo Hunt ~ Protection

A barking dog is often more useful than a sleeping lion.

-Washington Irving-

This week the Photo Hunt is
Protection
We are sure you remember Shorty, the little dog that
lost his human and a couple of weeks later, he lost his
brofur, Puppy. Mom was so glad that the neighbor let
her come visit and walk him. She could even bring him
home for us to see and visit with. They just live next
door, so he did not have to go far to come see us!

Well, our announcement is:
Shorty is OURS!
The neighbor and Mom agreed that he needed to be
with someone, and since they worked all day long, he
could come and live with us! Of course they will visit
him as often as they want to. We are very excited
and happy to add a new member to our furamily!
We think he will be a lot of Protection because he
Barks!

Photo Hunt ~ Stripes

Just because an animal is large,

it doesn't mean he doesn't want kindness;
however big Tigger seems to be,
remember that he wants as much kindness as Roo.
-Roo-

Photo Hunt for today is
STRIPES
Well, have you ever seen any finer stripes
than these on this tail of mine?
This was taken before I was tutored.
