Napoleon ~ Thankful and sad

The fate of animals is of greater importance to me
than the fear of appearing ridiculous.
- Emile Zola -

We are again thankful that we are inside kittycats!
Sure, some of us beg to go out, especially the former ferals,
but Mom just will not let us.
Night before last we heard coyotes, it was a chilling sound.
Then we heard the kittycat..
Mom jumped out of bed and ran out on the deck and yelled
'Stop it! Stop it!' and clapped her hands over and over.
The noise finally stopped, Mom was so upset.
Bob and Patrick were in the basement because it was cold.
Below is a picture of where we think the attack happened.
Mom worries about Bob and Patrick, but they are pretty big.
Soar High little kittycat...fly with the angels...
Hope you are having a safe and nice Thursday!
This time last year, Mom was at Emory Hospital,
in very, very serious trouble.
Now she is jumping out of bed,
running out on the deck and yelling at coyotes.
We are thankful and she got cold on the deck!

  3. It is a sad fate for any animal. We are happy that your Mom is able to jump up and run outside, too!

  4. We have a lot of coyotes here - they even wander our neighborhood streets. There is NO way we are ever allowed outside! The dog is in the fenced-in backyard when she is out, and she is over 50 pounds, but my human still worries about her sometimes too, since she is not a young dog anymore.

  5. Oh that is so sad and scary. We have not had any in our neighborhood, but they are around several miles from here near the parks. The second mom hears one, everyone will lose their outdoor privileges.

  7. What a horrible sound to have heard! Our mom just hates those stupid coyotes! She would see their pawprints in the snow by where she use to work and worry so much about her ferals she would feed. Please be careful and safe, Bob and Patrick!

  18. Small furry animals in the wild are often preyed upon... that's why cats should never go out unsupervised where there are predators. Napoleon, we wish you and your human staff a happy 2011 with lots of good things from all of us Good Cats (and our human staff too).
