Formerly Feral ~ Maggie Mae

A grandmother pretends she doesn't know
who you are on Halloween.

-Erma Bombeck-
I was in a tree at my Grandbeans house about 13 years
ago. It was raining and I was scared. Mom and the
girlbean got me down, but it took THREE days!
Mom took me to a rescue purrson, but they wouldn't take
me. That meant I'd have to go to the county shelter which
is really animal control. Mom didn't want to do that, so
I've been a happy Formerly Feral since that day!
(Mom is not good at fostering, you know)
Happy Friday, and safe Halloween to everybean and furiend!

Formerly Feral ~ Malachi

An inside cat is a safe cat.
I'd like to add that, other than being a safe cat,
an inside cat is totally relaxed!

Formerly Feral ~ Maggie Mae

Every tooth in a man's head is more valuable than a diamond.
-Don Quixote-
In 1996 I was a little feral girl.
My Mom's Daddy (God rest his soul)
saw me in a tree in his yard. It was drizzling
rain and took three days to get me down.
Being Formerly Feral is a good thing!

and hope to have computer fixed soon.

Formerly Feral ~ Malachi

You may be deceived if you trust too much,
but you will live in torment unless you trust enough.

Formerly Feral ~ KittyBoy

The cat is utterly sincere.
-Fernand Mery-
Hi, KittyBoy here!
We have not been visiting much lately. Our Momma fell in the bathroom and for some reason it made her hurt. Imagine that! We run and play and fall and slide and we are fine. Beans are just too fragile. She is better, did not do any damage, but sorta scared her as she has RA and Osteo. We think we are back now.

Some have asked about Bandit. He is about the same. He has been eating pumpkin straight out of the can. He likes it, so that is good. It does help him as well as yogurt. Sometimes he chooses not to eat either one, tho. He is very skinny, but gets around fine. We are still looking for a cure for this terrible tummy problem.

Maggie Mae is doing all right getting her insulin. She is on certain foods that help keep her regulated. She will spend another full day at the VET on Wednesday. Momma does not like to leave any of us there, but this is necessary to check her blood and do any adjustments.

Napoleon is doing fine getting his Sub-Q fluids every other day. Thru some CRF sites we found some Terumo needles that work well for him. Needles have always given Momma that weird, yucky feeling, but she says 'I do what I have to do'

Every other fur seems to be fine, too. We had hoped to take two of us at a time to the VET for check-ups, but had to stop for a while when we found out Maggie Mae needed immediate and a little bit expensive care. When we start back, it will be Miss Emily and Gracie's turn to go. Send good thoughts that the VET won't find anything wrong with them!!

Hope every fur and Bean has a nice week end! I am enjoying life inside!!
