Oh I am so sorry that you had to do this. I was just hoping that someway you would not have to do this. I am almost crying here at my computer just thinking about her. She was so pretty!! You will have a time getting over this I know. Take care!! Sandy
I'm so sorry to hear about Georgia, she was such a beautiful cat. I can't imagine what you must be going through. Please know that Kellie and I are thinking about you.
I only just got to know sweet Georgia, but am so sorry she had to leave you. She will have found a lot of friends, old and new, waiting for her at the Bridge. My heart goes out to you ....
Mine mommie haf leaky eyes too, poor sweet Georgia, we will all miss hers. Purrs, KC & Missy
I am so sorry to hear about Georgia, I am going through something similar now with my poodle that was 17+ years. It broke (and breaks) my heart, but she was in such pain and so sick. It truly is better for them (not us, though). God Bless you and bring you comfort, ML (Mary Lynn)
Sweet Georgia...running happy and healthy again at the Bridge. She will be missed. Rest in peace sweet Georgia. Bobbie, you will be in my thoughts and prayers.
We are thinking of you and know that you are in our purrayers and prayers. It's so hard to help them across the bridge, but she's in a better place now and is healthy and whole once again; waiting on you and her fur friends.
our mommy has leaky eyes too. We is so sorry that Georgia went to the Bridge. She is now your angel and will always be watching over all of you, and waiting at the Bridge for you.
Near a shady wall a rose once grew, Budded and blossomed in God’s free light, Watered and fed by the morning dew, Shedding it’s sweetness day and night.
As it grew and blossomed fair and tall, Slowly rising to loftier height, It came to a crevice in the wall Through which there shone a beam of light.
Onward it crept with added strength With never a thought of fear or pride, It followed the light through the crevice’s length And unfolded itself on the other side.
The light, the dew, the broadening view Were found the same as they were before, And it lost itself in beauties new, Breathing it’s fragrance more and more.
Shall claim of death cause us to grieve And make our courage faint and fall? Nay! Let us faith and hope receive– The rose still grows beyond the wall,
Scattering fragrance far and wide Just as it did in days of yore, Just as it did on the other side, Just as it will forevermore.
One more thought. You did the right thing. Mom had to help Baby to the bridge, he had cancer too. Like Georgia, he had good days, was eating, etc. But Mom let it go a little too long, and when she did take him in, he couldn't jump the fence, or do the things he loved. He purred and loved her at the end, he knew it was time......
Goodbye sweet Georgia, tell our Old Punkin dat we miss her too. Have fun playing and napping with all the other angel cats and know that someday your mom will come for you. Bobbi, you'll be in our prayers.
So sorry to hear that Georgia went to the Rainbow Bridge. :( My thoughts and prayers are with you. *hugs* She was a beautiful cat, and she will always be in your heart.
Our deepest sympathies. She does live in your heart now and will be waiting for you at the Bridge - happy and healthy. All of our purrs and prayers, Parker and family
I am very sorry that Georgia had to leave. Pixie and I are lighting a candle to help her find her way to the Bridge. And we are sending you our sincerest condolences. Goodbye sweet Georgia.
Poem For Cats And God asked the feline spirit Are you ready to come home? Oh, yes, quite so, replied the precious soul And, as a cat, I am most able To decide anything for myself
Are you coming then? asked God. Soon, replied the whiskered angel But I must come slowly. For my human friends are troubled. For you see, they need me, quite certainly.
But don't they understand? asked God That you'll never leave them? That you souls are intertwined for all eternity? That nothing is created or destroyed? It just is...forever and ever and ever.
Eventually they will understand, Replied the glorious cat. For I will whisper into their hearts That I am always with them I just am...forever and ever and ever.
All of our healing purrs we send your way....
Purrssssssss Abby, Boo, Ping, Jinx , Gracie and Mom Debra
Cerise, Lilly and I are saddened to learn of the loss of your precious one. Georgia will always have a special place in your heart. We will light a candle for her tonight in her honor.
Aw, we're so sorry for your loss. We'll keep you and your family, furry and non furry in our prayers. Take care. Georgia knew how much she was loved. You can see it in her eyes.
We're so sorry to hear about the loss of your precious girl. We lost a cat to cancer, too at only 6 years old. It's a terrible decision, but you can't allow them to suffer. Our thoughts are with you.
Although it was very hard for you do, I know that Georgia thanks you for finding the courage to give her peace.
Our purrayers are with you and your family.
Nine Lives I had
When I was born, I had Nine Lives: One, I gave to my mother who brought me into this world; Seven, I spent pursuing foolish adventures; the Last, I lovingly entrusted to you for safekeeping. And to your heart, you held it until the time came for me to take it back.
I never met Georgia, but I saw the note on the Catblogosphere and came over to offer my condolences. I am very sorry to hear that you had to help Georgia to the bridge. Believe me, it's better this way. I lost a very young cat to cancer because it was deep inside her and the vet couldn't figure out what was wrong with her. We treated her for everything until all she had left was pain. The vet had to do a necropsy to find the cancer.
I am so sorry to hear about Georgia. She was obviously such a beautiful girl.
Would you like me to move her from the Gorgeous Gingers on to the Rainbow Gingers page? That is where my ginger sister Hattie is now and other gingers who have gone to the Bridge.
We herd abowt Georgia's passing on the Cat Blogosphere and wanted to let yu know we'z sorry she had to go but that she'z grateful that yu luved her enuff to help her when she needed help to go. Purrs frum Pumpkin, Tiger, Bebe and Blackie in Hah-why-eee.
We just stopped by and found out. We are so saddened by your loss. It is so hard to say goodbye even though you know it is the best thing to do. May God bless you and comfort you.
We've been offline and not blogging as much the past couple of days, and we just heard about Georgia...Mom's eyes are leeeeekinggg! She is a beautiful kitty, and we hope that she has a safe journey to the bridge. Our thoughts and prayers are with you during the terribly difficult time! Purrs, Us, Meezers

ReplyDeleteGeorgia
An angel sent from heaven
That's really what you were
I miss everything about you
Your heart was warm and pure
But the angels only lent you
To me for fifteen years
And now they called you home again
And we are left with tears
And memories to hold on to
That somehow get us through
We feel your presence everywhere
In everything we do.
Sweet Georgia, we will miss you
Though time shall ease the pain
And someday in the future
We shall meet again.
