Baby Deer and Good Bye Felix

Because the heart beats under a covering of fur, feathers,
or wings, it is, for that reason, to be of no account?

This little baby was in our yard today.
They usually come by with their moms, but
this one was alone and afraid.
He wanted to go toward Patrick, our brown goat.
Maybe it thought he was a sibling, as they usually
visit our yard with a twin and Mom.
We hope he is not alone, but think he is.
Click on picture to see he still has spots.

Our friend, Felix had to go to The Rainbow Bridge
Soar with the Angels, sweet boy.

  1. Oh he is so little. We saw a young deer alone and confused near the road where we live. We felt so badly for her because she was alone and only half grown--and most deer that age are with another. That poor baby.

  2. Poor little bebbeh. It makes my heart feel sad to think of her trying to go to Patrick for comfort. Life is very hard sometimes.

  6. The Mom lady wants to know if perhaps if you kept an eye out and the baby was still there, that some sort of rescue agency could help the wee thing? The Mom is like that always rescuing baby birds and such, I say let me eat them.

  8. Sorry about Felix, I wrote about Rainbow Bridge on my blog site as a tribute to my sweet Melody that has been gone a year now. Did the baby deer come out okay? Stopping by to say Hi.
