We come, not to mourn our dead soldiers, but to praise them.

Memorial Day is to honor those who perished while in military service.
We are thankful that our Mom had her Daddy for many years after WWII.
Mom is a few days old here, and meeting her Daddy for the first time.
He had to go back to the war until it was over.

We are glad that your mom had her dad for many years after the war. Our dad's grandfather is a WWII veteran, and he's still alive, and in his 90s.
