Patches -
A
Katrina
Cat
Still
Missing

Patches is not my cat.
She is a cat that many, many people all over the world tried to locate after Katrina hit New Orleans.
Dozens of emails, postings on different boards, phone calls made on her behalf.
Hundreds of animals gone. So terribly sad.

Just Thinking About It

  5. OH I hope she is OK. I hope she is just out having a great time. I don't know anything about the circumstances but I know how painful it is when Buddy leaves for a couple weeks. I go nuts.

  6. We are hoping that Patches is living with a happy family and they renamed her. She looks like such a sweet kitty

Wow. There is so much that still needs to be done. What a great reminder of all that has been left undone.

  9. My hopes are the same as Auntie Bee's. So many cats and dogs and other animals, too, were lost in that horrible storm. I am glad that many rules were changed as a result to allow people to take their animals with them when they are evacuated.

  12. It is so sad when a cat goes missing. We can only hope that some nice beans have found her and are taking good care of her.

Ah, that's so sad. I've never lost a cat in that way, but loss is loss.

    Hoping for a miraculous outcome....
