~ The problem with cats is that they get the same exact look

  1. This beautiful moth was on my truck one summer morning in 2004.
The first photo (with quarter) is looking at it from the back. I saw a face with hair, ears, eyes, mouth and teeth!

I left it alone, but went back out later and it was on the driveway by a piece of pine straw. The lower picture is looking at the front of the moth.

  2. This is a really awesome picture. Well both of them. The top one is really interesting. I can make out a face on the top of the moth. I have never seen a design quite like this and had a good enough picture to notice it.

  4. WOW! I have never seen an Imperial moth alive. We have Polyphemus and Cecropia moths here and they are huge also. I have a picture of a Luna moth in the palm of my daughter's hand, but I was not there when the picture was taken. I would love to have seen that one also. Very cool!
