  1. My daughter called, said there was a snake caught in the net over her fish pond. When I got there, I saw that it had weaved itself in and out of the net about 5-6 times. Don't know how long it had been there, but it was exhausted, very cold, and had some damage to it's skin.

With my daughter's help I managed to cut it out and immediately called my vet tech who also rehabs wildlife. He said it should be fine as soon as it warmed up, and would be released near his home.

  3. Wow, I wouldn't have thought of bringing the poor thing to the vet. Good to know and very good of you to take care of the poor thing.

  5. I never in a million years would have guessed that there was a snake in that basket. I am very happy you took the poor little snake for treatment. You are so nice and compassionate. I like you a lot.

  6. A snake in the basket? Wow! Like Daisy, I would have never guessed that. That was very nice of you to take care of the snake. So many people just try to avoid them. You are a very kind and compassionate person. :)

  7. I thought you had a picnic lunch in that basket. But a snake? Hey... what is a snake, anyway? I don't think I've ever seen one!

  10. For some reason I thought it was a fish which I would infinitely prefer over a snake! You are a brave and compassionate woman!

I thought the basket was too small for a cat. Never would have thought a snake.

  14. Yay for you for saving that poor snake!!! I hope he recovers quick and enjoys his new home area. Snakes don't bother me as long as I know the one I'm about to touch isn't poisonous. I love to feel their skin - so different from anything we usually feel! I once got to pet this huge snake - it was an albino Boa, I think and it was so cool!
