Wordy Wednesday ~ Visitors!

I am not a lover of lawns.
Rather would I see daisies in their thousands, ground ivy,
hawkweed, and even the hated plantain with tall stems,
and dandelions with splendid flowers and fairy down,
than the too-well-tended lawn
.
-W.H. Hudson-
What is that in the ivy??

It is Sharpie! ... He lives next door.
You can click the picture and see his eyes!
He is probably looking for our cute chipmunks.
We hope he does not find one!

More visitors on the other side of the house.
Oh No!! ... Vishus Deer!!

This is right outside Mom's bedroom window.
We think babies may show up soon.
Happy Wednesday everyone

Poor Vishus Deer

Bad is never good until worse happens.
-Danish proverb-
Mom was coming home after going to her sister's house, she had a little cook-out for the all the bean grandchildren. She had to be home in time to give Maggie Mae her insulin, but was not going fast. It was dark and a stop sign was already in view down the hill. Momma just felt a push, it made no noise except a whoosh sound. She got out and a man behind her said it was a deer. Momma was going to go see about the deer, but the man said it ran. We sure do hope it is OK. They always start running when hunting starts. They are so afraid, they don't watch what is happening, they just try to get away. We are very sorry, and hope the deer is all right.
Momma said she is OK, but again, is going to have to get some extra green papers. Seems like it's always something, but we are glad she is OK and none of us were with her!!

If you are able, please visit Criz and help out. He has so many sick kittycats. Janice is still at the vet and won't be released until bill is paid. Read more at The Cat Blogosphere. There is a Paypay button on his blog!
Thanks!!!

Run! Vishus Deer approaching!

Courage is grace under pressure.
-Hemmingway-

My yard has been overtaken.
Ack! If I lean over a little there is another one right
below my window!
There is another one in Bob and Patricks yard.
I sure am glad I am inside and safe from these vishus deer!

Photo Hunt ~ Twisted

~ Dare to be brave ~

Run. Run fast as you can!
See that Vishus Deer??

Well, we don't really need to be brave around our friend the deer. She and all of her friends come right up to us. We think, sometimes, they would jump right in our yard!

We're waiting for some sweet feed!
See the orange rope TWISTED on the fence?
That is where Mom had to tie it to a pole to keep the dogs from getting in and chasing us. They got in three times!
The v-e-t had to come see about me. My leg was hurting bad.

See the fur on the fence? That is where we rub our Winter coats off. The birds use it for their nests.

Photo Hunters ~ Fake

~ Cats Are Purrfect ~
Some of my Fake cats.
Along with them are a few treasures.
The Raggedy Andy belonged to my son. He took it to Germany a couple of times. That was in the early 70's. It has no arms, but did have a great life and lives peacefully now with other memories.

The Clown on the other side is my daughter. Well, it's a doll of my daughter when she was a clown with Ringling Brothers Barnum and Bailey Circus. That was in the 80's.

The picture bottom left is my Mom, daughter and me. The picture in the yellow frame has my Daddy in it. He was in The Heat Of The Night several times. This episode was 'Sanctuary' in 1992 and his longest time on screen!
They filmed here and in Covington, GA and were so good for and to our communities. I miss them.

~~Gracie ~There is a statue of a Vishus Deer and her baby on the bottom shelf by that silly walking bowling ball. It was given to our Meowmie-B by her Daddy and she said it won't come to life and jump out and get us...but she keeps those glass doors closed just in case.
