Our Foster is at The Rainbow Bridge

'Shay'

Our sweet boy would not eat, and Momma was very worried.
She called New York Mom and they agreed he should go to ER.
The ER vet said his 'rash' was cancer, he was severe diabetic.
If she should try to feed him, he would suffocate.
She felt the cancer was all over, but particularly visible on
his right paw, under his arm and on his chest..which
was red and had no fur. His skin was red all over.
The two Mom's talked and decided he was ready to go to
The Rainbow Bridge
We did not know him long, but we loved him dearly.
He left big paw prints on Momma's heart.
We will light a candle to guide him on his way~
*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*

"In the Candle's Glow"

Warm light coming from far below,
Twinkling, sparkling is the candle's glow.
All is well up on the ridge,
The place we know as Rainbow Bridge.

Furbabies sleeping in heaven's light,
Tended by candles in the night.
Peaceful dreams be theirs to keep,
As they slumber in this night so deep.

Hearts on earth that miss them so,
Take comfort in the candle's glow.
Watching for them in skies above,
Bound eternally by a cord of love.

  1. I am so sorry that Shay had to go to the Bridge before he could make his way to his special Forever home. But at least he had somebuddies who cared about him to mourn his passing. Thanks ever so much for helping him.

  6. Bobbie, I am so sorry about Shay.

He would have suffered terribly from the complications of what was probably long term, untreated diabetes and the advanced cancer; so letting him go was the kindest thing to do.

Thank you for giving him so much love and care.

It's sad that you only knew Shay for a short time. But in that time you were able to help him, and do what was best for him. At the end, he was cared for and loved, and anyone would want that. Thanks for helping a little one who needed it.
