Memorial Day

We come, not to mourn our dead soldiers, but to praise them.
-Francis A. Walker-

Memorial Day is to honor those who perished while in military service.
We are thankful that our Mom had her Daddy for many years after WWII.
Mom is a few days old here, and meeting her Daddy for the first time.
He had to go back to the war until it was over.

We honor all the men and women who have given their lives for this country.
This would be a good time to pick up your Peace Globe to display on June 4, 2008!

  1. We are glad that your mom had her dad for many years after the war. Our dad's grandfather is a WWII veteran, and he's still alive, and in his 90s.

In Canada, we honour those who gave their lives for our freedoms, as well as those who served and who continue to serve, on Remembrance Day, November 11th.
