  2. What an honor this was!
    More than 20 years ago, visiting a friend in Florida, the Turtle Rescue people let me release the youngsters.

    This was something very few people had the opportunity to do back then.
    The eggs had been protected since the Mom Turtle laid and covered them.

    It's my understanding that very few of these little babies would have lived to be an adult.

  8. I hear all the time living here in Savannah how everyone tries to protect these little guys out at Tybee Island. What cute little things. Great post.
