Mancat Monday ~ Figaro

No one can whistle a symphony.
It takes a whole orchestra to play it.

- H.E. Luccock -

Remember handsome Figaro?
He finally made it to his forever home. From Henry County AC here in Georgia to New York! What a trip for him, and what GREAT TEAMWORK from so many! His rescuer pulled him, Connie (who has TRN'd so many) found him a foster. Mr. (Wonderful) Bobby picked him up, took him to be tutored. Then I went and picked him up, and had the priverledge of keeping him for a couple of days (loved it, loved him!!). Miss Corrine came for him and kept him until his transport was ready, then she took him to meet them for the final leg of his long journey. All of this for one beautiful, precious cat..and we would all do it again!
Matter of fact, I'm sure we will all do it again!

Have a happy life Figaro. We all wish you well.
~ Mom Bobbie and The Bunch

Let me know if I've left out any of the Team members. This goes on so much in the animal world, and it surprises me when I mention it to someone that they are in awe. So many have never heard of transporting to save animals. It is a great honor to be a small part of such a big team, and the team changes members all the time, whenever the need arises :)

Feral Friday ~ Malachi

We do not inherit the earth from our ancestors,
we borrow it from our children.
-Native American Proverb -

I was feral for a long time. I got in a few fights, one tore my ear.
Sure was glad to get inside, well at first I did not like it, but now I can sit in the sun with Noah and the rest of my furamily and relax. We hope all our friends that are having so much snow are all right, and you get some sunshine soon.
Happy Feral Friday!

Thankful Thursday ~ Napoleon

The great thing about getting older
is that you don't lose all the other ages you've been.
- Madeleine L'Engle - -

Hai, Napoleon here, trying to keep warm.
Mom just gave me fluids, and I am resting.
I still prefer to not take them, but they sure do help me!
I am 19 years old and very thankful that there are
ways to keep us CRF kitthehs going.
I can not see except shadows and I am pretty much deaf,
maybe that is a good thing around all these other kitteh cats!
Hope every fur and Bean has a good Thursday!

Rest In Peach Royal Marshall

The day which we fear as our last
is but the birthday of eternity.
- Seneca -

I've listened to Royal Marshall for as long as he has been on WSB Radio with Neal Boortz. He had a quick wit and kept Boortz in line. His untimly death was a great shock to me as well as the entire Atlanta community and their millions of listeners across the country. Royal was a husband and father. His death will leave a hole in the heart of Atlanta.

Finally Friday ~ Malachi

A lot of people like snow.
I find it to be an unnecessary freezing of water.
- Carl Reiner -

Mom just went outside.
Said she was going to get rid of some snow and ice.
Already missed two doctor appointments because
of it, and it is as slick as ..well, it's a sheet of ice!
She got this little area cleared, pretty good for her!
She gave up, look how far it is to the top of the driveway.
Solid ice all the way up.
The Boyz watched, but they were so cold!
Patrick was shivering.
They will go back in the basement shortly.
It is probably around 55-60 degrees in there.
That is pretty good, considering it is 62 up here!
Every Fur and Bean stay safe and have a Happy Friday

Bob and Patrick in the snow

A snowflake is one of God's most fragile creations,
but look what they can do when they stick together!
- Author Unknown -

Bob: I am out in the snow. I do not like the snow.
Yikes! Where did our grass go?

Patrick and I walked up the hill. Not fun!
I think I will get Patrick and go back inside.
Patrick: All Righty then, Mom! Come open this door!
Please?
We think the basement is where we need to be,
and bring us some more hay and cookies. Please?
We hope all our furriends and their Beans are nice and warm.
Ya'll stay safe, and we gotta get back inside!
Oh, MOM..come on!! Please??
~ Bob and Patrick
Mom Bobbie: I'll be glad when this snow melts!! *smile*

Mancat Monday and The Boyz

Chop your own wood, and it will warm you twice.
- Henry Ford -

I do not know anything about chopping wood, but...
I do know how to stay warm!
Get in the clean laundry basket, I like the green!
It looks real cold outside with the snow.

The Boyz spent the night in the basement.
Mom let them out but will they will come back in soon
to get some fresh hay, cookies, water and apples!
We hope all our furriends are inside and staying warm.
Stay safe!!

MacGruber and Bob

Every action in our lives touches on some chord
that will vibrate in eternity.
- Edwin Hubbel Chapin-

Remember this little fellow?
Yep! That is MacGruber his very own self!
He is doing very well at Robins' house.
He gets along with Blitzen, and they love playing.
We are so glad that MacGruber is safe and happy!
©2011 Robin A.F. Olson

Pictured below is Bob. He lives with Robin, too.
He has had a rough time lately with some surgery, some chemo.
Bob belonged to Robins' Mother, who never got him neutered.
This can cause problems later in a male cats life,
just like a female cat that is not spayed.
Robin has her hands full right now...
She started Kitten Associates and has saved
many Georgia cats and kittens,
and she lives in Connecticut!
Hopefully some of us can send her a few green papers
to help Bob.
You can visit Bob and Robin at
Covered in Cat Hair.

Our prayers and purrs continue for Bob.
Please get well soon, big guy!
Love,

Photohunt ~ Whiskers-Napoleon

Actually, cats do this to protect you from gnomes
who come and steal your breath while you sleep.
- John Dobbin -

Hai Furriends,
Since this is a 'Free' day on TNChicks Photobucket, I thought I would tell you something about my whiskers. When I was a kitten..about 17 years ago, I had some long, pretty whiskers. I grew into a big kittycat and my whiskers grew, too. My whiskers tell me if a space is big enough for me to go through, and many other interesting things. Now days my whiskers are longer than I am wide, because of my CRF and weight loss.
I have found the best thing they do is wake Mom up at 2:00 A.M. You know, sometimes we get hungry when she is sleeping. If you, my furriends do not already know this, all you have to do to wake up your person that feeds you is put your nose on their nose, then move your whiskers all around their face. This will, I have found, wake them up pretty quick!
Check over at TNChicks to see what other Photohunters found for their Free Day.
Happy Hunting and stay safe to all our beanfriends and buddies expecting snow or bad weather. All of the Beans around Atlanta are loading up on milk and bread. That is what the Beans do.

Friday without Figaro

We call them dumb animals, and so they are,
for they cannot tell us how they feel,
but they do not suffer less because they have no words.

— Anna Sewell -

Figaro went to his next foster house today. Mom was sad,
but she knows he is working his way to his forever home.
He is one of the sweetest and largest kittycats we have ever kept!
Good Bye Figaro, we wish you the BEST!

~ Noah

Thankful Thursday ~ Noahs' Ark

To close your eyes will not ease another's pain.
- Chinese Proverb -

Well, Mom has another interloper in the front room.
He is from Henry County Animal Control.
This is just a quick layover for him,
as he is going to New York in a couple of weeks!

We cannot believe that someone tossed out or gave away such a beautiful animal. He is part Maine Coon, and so handsome. Today he will go to the lady that will foster him. All Mom did was go get him after he got tutored yesterday at Noahs Ark. He is doing great today and she is enjoying him while she can. She said he is a 'love bug' and a gentle giant, and still growing.

We are so very thankful that there are people that are willing to
rescue these precious animals and find them homes.

While she was at Noahs' Ark, she got to see one of our cousins.
He was a lot bigger than the kitty she brought home!

See!!

This pretty guy has a UTI, some of us know how that feels!
We hope he gets over it really soon so he can
go back to his living quarters there at
Noahs' Ark.

They are an animal rehab center as well as
have childrens care homes.
Take a look at their beautiful website,
over a thousand animals call Noahs' Ark home!
Yes, we are thankful for them!!

Remembering Our Bandit

If you live to be 100,
I hope I live to be 100 minus 1 day,
so I never have to live without you.
- Winnie The Pooh -
One day in 1994 Mom grabbed a little kitten from the road.
He lived with us until January 3, 2009,
He was a crazy cat and we loved him!
We will see you at The Rainbow Bridge, Bandit.
We love you!
The Bunch and Mom Bobbie.
