Napoleon ~ Thankful and sad

The fate of animals is of greater importance to me
than the fear of appearing ridiculous.
- Emile Zola -

We are again thankful that we are inside kittycats!
Sure, some of us beg to go out, especially the former ferals,
but Mom just will not let us.
Night before last we heard coyotes, it was a chilling sound.
Then we heard the kittycat..
Mom jumped out of bed and ran out on the deck and yelled
'Stop it! Stop it!' and clapped her hands over and over.
The noise finally stopped, Mom was so upset.
Bob and Patrick were in the basement because it was cold.
Below is a picture of where we think the attack happened.
Mom worries about Bob and Patrick, but they are pretty big.
Soar High little kittycat...fly with the angels...
Hope you are having a safe and nice Thursday!
This time last year, Mom was at Emory Hospital,
in very, very serious trouble.
Now she is jumping out of bed,
running out on the deck and yelling at coyotes.
We are thankful and she got cold on the deck!

One Year Later ~ Anna Sue

No one can confidently say
that he will still be living tomorrow.
- Euripides -

One long year ago tonight, our Mom had a
Massive Heart Attack.
Her daughter bean, our 'Sissy' fed us and took care of us
for six very long months, until Mom could come home.
We are so grateful for all the prayers, good wishes and thoughts,
we did not know if she would ever recover enough to come home.
When she finally was awake, she had to learn lots of things,
how to walk, how to write, and stuff that she had known how to do.
Two of Sissy's friends, Meghan & Tinelle helped feed and care for us
We are so grateful to them.
Now, here's Mom!
~ Anna Sue

I want to thank everyone on BCC, Facebook and The Cat Blogosphere,
for your support for me!
My doctors and nurses were amazed at the cards, gifts and well wishers!
You helped me get through a awfully rough time
along with my wonderful family.
Thank you, thank you a thousand times over..

Malachi and The Boyz

Only when the last tree has died and
the last river been poisoned and
the last fish been caught
will we realise we cannot eat money.

- Cree Indian Proverb -

I said I wanted to stay in the basement with
The Boyz.
I changed my mind pretty quick!
Happy Tuesday everyone..

Mancat Monday ~ Timothy

A cat has absolute emotional honesty:
human beings, for one reason or another,
may hide their feelings, but a cat does not.
- Ernest Hemingway -

Hai Furriends and Beans!
I hope everyone had a safe and happy Christmas.
Looking forward to visiting you all this week.
Happy Mancat Monday!

Mancat Monday ~ Malachi

If you can dream it, you can do it.
- Walt Disney -

Some of us ran past Mom when she went in MacGrubers
now empty room. I saw this..I had to inspect!
She said she thought he would use it for a bed.
I think he had been in there!
He and another rescued Georgia Death Row family are in
Connecticut with Robin at
Kitten Associates & Covered in Cat Hair.
She is a magic lady getting them all there, it is about a squillion miles!
Like Mr. Walt Disney said, 'If you can dream it, you can do it'.

Robins' cat, Bob could use our good thoughts and purrayers.
He will be having surgery today, mentioned in Covered in Cat Hair.

If you have a few extra minutes, and have not voted would you
please vote for one of our oldest internet furiends, Katz.
She is in the Big Apple Shelter Race.
We feel this is a very honest race, you may vote only once. Thanks!

You can watch some of her rescues at Katzenwoofers Pet Rescue.
You may see a cat taking good care of the puppies!
Also watch for Katz puppies on The Puppy Bowl on New Years Day
Happy Monday!

Photo Hunt ~ MacGruber, Male!

Cats' hearing apparatus is built to allow the human voice
to easily go in one ear and out the other.
- Stephen Baker -

Today our little foster will start his journey to his rescuer,
Robin at Kitten Associates in Connecticut
It is also a Photo Hunt Day. The word for today is MALE.
He will be a healthy male, because he got tutored!
I know Mom will miss MacGruber so much,
she spends a LOT of time with him..

He is a funny little guy and has given her many smiles.
We wish him the very best as he begins a new life!
See what other Photo Hunters found for Male at:
TNChicks.

Have a safe and happy weekend!

Thankful Thursday ~ Miss Emily

There is no such thing as pure pleasure;
some anxiety always goes with it.
- Ovid -

I am thankful to have this catnip toy, but
I may not have it long.
My brofurs and sisfurs may try to take it from me.
Have a nice Thursday, and stay warm and safe.
If there are any kittycats or pups outside,
let them in when it is so cold!

MacGruber went to school

If you think education is expensive, try ignorance.
MacGruber got to go to school the other day to be tutored.
Mr. Bobby came to get him, he was gone all day!

Mom met Mr. Bobby and got MacGruber back,
I do not think he learned much at school.
We were glad to have him back home, well, this is not really his home.
He will be going about a squillion miles away one day very soon
and then he will be home, or almost home.
Mom loves him a whole lot, but will be happy for him to
get a real home of his very own!
Maybe we will be glad to not hear her going on and on about
how beautiful and wonderful he is when she is in his room.
Yep, we will be glad to get some of that attention!

Hope every fur and Bean has a nice weekend!
~ Anna Sue

Mancat Monday - Not!

When you aim for perfection, you discover it's a moving target.
- George Fisher -

Hai, I thought you might appreciate one of Moms outtakes
She said she has to take fifty shots to get one good one.
This is MacGruber, who is (I hear) very handsome and cute.
He will be a Mancat one day, but right now he is a baby.
Happy Monday everyfur and Bean!

~ Maggie Mae

Easy Like Sunday ~ MacGruber

If there ever comes a day when we can't be together
keep me in your heart,I'll stay there forever.

- Winnie The Pooh -

Happy Easy Sunday to all our furriends and Beans!
Thought I'd let you know that MacGruber is doing fine.
I have to get this information second hand, but Mom is pretty reliable.
She spends a LOT of time with him, and said his new purrson
will be the luckiest purrson in the world.
Hurmp..I have some issues with that, I think she is lucky to have me,
although I do give her some mean looks when she gives me fluids.

Going to watch Mom get hay off the truck for Bob and Patrick.
That won't make an easy Sunday morning for her, it's heavy.
Hope everyfur is nice and warm and full of good food!

Finally Friday ~ Anna Sue

Act as if what you do makes a difference.
It does.

- William James -

Hai Furriends and Beans!
Hope you all are having a sunny Friday.
Mom said she is not doing anything special by keeping MacGruber.
She said any of you do the same thing, you know you would!
He is doing really well, and Mom still spends time with him.
She will take more pictures today. Maybe he has forgotten how to squint.

I heard something about him going to school next week.
Mom said he would do fine, as Timothy, Napoleon, Noah and Malachi
have all been tutored. I think it is a bit like Daisys Lady Garden
which all of us girls know about.
Miss Robin wants him well and healthy to make his Magic Trip to her,
about a squillion miles away! We are still working on how she does this.

Happy Friday!
~ Anna Sue

Thankful Thursday ~ Noah

Don't do what you'll have to find an excuse for.
- Proverb -

Hai - Noah here,
Our Mom has an excuse why she is going into the front room so much.
She said she is checking on that little kittycat, MacGruber.
We can hear her talking to him and telling him how
beautiful and wonderful and pretty and handsome he is!
Well, if he is all that, I guess she has a good excuse.

We are So Thankful that the little guy was pulled from a kill shelter
right before he was to die.
Yep we are glad Mom loves him so much, and he will have
a great forever home in a few weeks, thanks to Robin at

Covered In Cat Hair!

Happy Thursday to all our Furriends and beans!
~ Noah
