Easy Like Sunday ~ MacGruber

Who would believe such pleasure from a wee ball o' fur?
- Irish Saying -

Just a quick post to let you know MacGruber is doing great.
Mom spends too much time in his room with him in
* My Most Humble Opinion *
but, he will just be here a short time, so we tolerate it.
Mom said his furs are so much more orange than they look in the photos.
Some day we may get a nice camera until then we'll be happy
and thankful for what we do have!

Our sun is out today and we plan to have an Easy Sunday.
Wishing the same to you and yours!

A stranger in the house!

If a man aspires towards a righteous life,
his first act of abstinence is from injury to animals."
- Albert Einstein-
Hai furriends and beans! Timothy here reporting on what has been going on around here for a day or two.
A little Orange stranger got here yesterday, we did not see him.
BUT!

Today Moms' girl bean came over to vacuum
(she does that for Mom since the heart attack).
She fell in love with this little guy.
Mom said everybody does.
So the noise would not scare him, Mom brought him owt!
She sat in a chair and I got a good look at him!
She would not let me smell him.
WELL!!
He is indeed a very cute little fellow!

I found owt his name is MacGruber.
He was rescued by Miss Robin at Covered In Cat Hair.
She must be some sort of magic lady,
'cause she lives a long, long way from us.
I will try to figure owt how she does that.
MacGruber will stay here a a while then go to Miss Robins' house.
I reckon that is some more of her magic, like I said, it is a long way.
Mr. Bobby helps her get kittycats out of high kill AC/shelters in GA
He brought McGruber here. I liked him and he knows MY name!

MacGruber learned real fast that the flashy box
makes a funny little sound,
then blinds him. He has learned to squint.
I will try to keep you updated on what is happening.
Wishing each and every one of my furriends and bean friends
A Happy, Safe Thanksgiving!

Toesies and Tail Tuesday

It always gives me a shiver when I see a cat seeing what I can't see.
-Eleanor Farjeon -
We like that quote because sometimes we look past Mom
and just stare at nothing..well, she thinks it's nothing.
We never tell what we see.
Guess who is not in the room right now? NOAH!
He thinks he can just come sit on the keyboard.
Well, not when the door is closed!
We hope all our furriends are having a nice day.
Our sun is out and it is pretty warm here.
Bob and Patrick sure do enjoy the sun.
I heard a rumor that the spare room will be in use again.
Will have to keep my ear to the ground and let you know
if I hear any more about this.
Got to tell Mom to let Noah come back in now,
Hope everyfur has a nice Tuesday!

It is pretty easy, don't know why all of you are not trying!
The heavier you are, the better you will be able to blog!
Drop me a line if you want instructions.
Hope everyone has a really nice Friday!!

Noah helps Gracie with the blog - NOT!

I never make stupid mistakes.
Only very, very clever ones.
- John Peel -

Hai, Gracie here. My Mom was going to make a really
cute post about me today.
Then Noah sat on the keyboard.
Oh well, so much for my time on the blog!
Sorry for those that got one or two or three posts from us!
Happy Thursday!!

Good-bye for now, Gatsbi

We understand death for the first time
when he puts his hand upon one whom we love.
-Madame de Stael -
We were very sad to learn Gatsbi had to run off to
The Rainbow Bridge
We know Forty Paws will miss her so.

Photo Hunt ~ Itchy

Difficult things take a long time, impossible things a little longer.
-André A. Jackson -
Hai furriends!
Our Mom is having a very difficult time. She has Shingles.
They are very itchy.
She said "Well, at least I have a Photo Hunt for today."
I guess that is looking on the bright side.
See what other Photo Hunters at TNChicks found for
Happy Saturday!

Thankful Thursday ~ For Our Veterans

The more we sweat in peace the less we bleed in war.
-Vijaya Lakshmi Pandit-
This is our Grandaddy bean.
Our Mom is so thankful that he came back from the war,
when so many others did not.
We honor all Veterans today!

We cherish too, the Poppy red
That grows on fields where valor led,
It seems to signal to the skies
That blood of heroes never dies.

Bob and Patrick nom noming

Animals are reliable, many full of love, true in their affections,
predictable in their actions, grateful and loyal.
Difficult standards for people to live up to.
-Alfred A. Montapert-
BOB: Look to the left Patrick.
PATRICK: OK .. I see some nice ivy to eat.

PATRICK: I like this little tree, nom nom.

BOB: Nope, the ivy is much better.
We have our winter coats coming in, but we think
Mom will let us go in the basement if it gets really cold!
Happy Monday!

Easy Like Sunday ~ Cat Tree

There is, incidentally, no way of talking about cats,
that enables one to come off as a sane person.
- Dan Greenberg -

Someone told Mom about a cat tree on Craigs List in Atlanta.
It was $99.00
Mom called the number and asked about it, if it was still there.
It was.
She didn't have any extra green papers (who does?) but
the nice man said he'd be glad to bring it to our house so
she could look at it. Well, she had some green papers saved
for any ER vet that we may have to get, and decided she could
use that if she liked the tree. She did.
I do, too!
Hope none of us have to go to ER any time soon!!
Happy Sunday to all our furiends and bean pals.

White Cat Wednesday ~ Miss Emily and Noah

In reality, cats are probably better off remaining indoors
and sending out their humans to deal with the outside world.
