Happy Halloween ~ Napoleon

Children seldom misquote.
In fact, they usually repeat word for
word what you shouldn't have said.

I am staying right here until tomorrow.
When the little sticky faces and fingers
are gone from my door!

Happy Halloween!

Poor Vishus Deer

Bad is never good until worse happens.
-Danish proverb-
Mom was coming home after going to her sister's house, she had a little cook-out for the all the bean grandchildren. She had to be home in time to give Maggie Mae her insulin, but was not going fast. It was dark and a stop sign was already in view down the hill. Momma just felt a push, it made no noise except a whoosh sound. She got out and a man behind her said it was a deer. Momma was going to go see about the deer, but the man said it ran. We sure do hope it is OK. They always start running when hunting starts. They are so afraid, they don't watch what is happening, they just try to get away. We are very sorry, and hope the deer is all right.
Momma said she is OK, but again, is going to have to get some extra green papers. Seems like it's always something, but we are glad she is OK and none of us were with her!!

Formerly Feral ~ KittyBoy

The cat is utterly sincere.
-Fernand Mery-
Hi, KittyBoy here!
We have not been visiting much lately. Our Momma fell in the bathroom and for some reason it made her hurt. Imagine that! We run and play and fall and slide and we are fine. Beans are just too fragile. She is better, did not do any damage, but sorta scared her as she has RA and Osteo. We think we are back now.

Some have asked about Bandit. He is about the same. He has been eating pumpkin straight out of the can. He likes it, so that is good. It does help him as well as yogurt. Sometimes he chooses not to eat either one, tho. He is very skinny, but gets around fine. We are still looking for a cure for this terrible tummy problem.

Maggie Mae is doing all right getting her insulin. She is on certain foods that help keep her regulated. She will spend another full day at the VET on Wednesday. Momma does not like to leave any of us there, but this is necessary to check her blood and do any adjustments.

Napoleon is doing fine getting his Sub-Q fluids every other day. Thru some CRF sites we found some Terumo needles that work well for him. Needles have always given Momma that weird, yucky feeling, but she says 'I do what I have to do'

Every other fur seems to be fine, too. We had hoped to take two of us at a time to the VET for check-ups, but had to stop for a while when we found out Maggie Mae needed immediate and a little bit expensive care. When we start back, it will be Miss Emily and Gracie's turn to go. Send good thoughts that the VET won't find anything wrong with them!!

Hope every fur and Bean has a nice week end! I am enjoying life inside!!

Friday with Bandit

Some people care too much, I think it's called love.
-Winnie The Pooh-

I went on the deck with Momma. She thought she would have to hold on to me, but I did not feel like running. I want to get well, but everything we have tried has not worked.
We would like any suggestions you have for my bad pooping diarrhea. I was once a big boy, but have lost so much weight. If you know of special food or medicine you have tried and even 'old wives tales', you can leave it in comments. Our VET is trying to help, but so far nothing has helped.

We send our condolences to Tiki's family. We were so sorry to hear he had to leave for The Bridge. There were many Angels waiting to greet him there.

Mancat Monday - Timothy

There can be no rainbows without first the storm

It is my duty to sit on these plastic drawers and dictate what Momma is typing, especially when it is about ME!
It is nice and cool here in Georgia today. Our basement is drying out and no more rain is expected for a while. We sure did appreciate it last week!
My sisfur Maggie Mae is doing all right so far with her special diabetic food and her shots. She goes back to vet Wednesday for a blood sugar check. Momma does not like sticking her or Napoleon for his fluids, but we are all thankful that there are medicines and veterinarians that can help us all have longer, healthier lives. Momma's purse has some owies, but she will do anything, as long as she can to help us be better.
My brofur Noah and I both eat special UTI food. We rather have something else, but this is for our own good.
Bandit is a little bit better. He has been eating pumpkin and it has helped him more than anything else we have tried in the past year! We may be getting another kind of medicine this week from the vet for him. (Remember Momma's purse owie :-)
We hope every bean and every fur has a great week!
~Timothy

Photo Hunt ~ Lazy

If you're short of trouble, get a goat.

Hey everyone! Bob here.
We had a few cool mornings this week and I don't like cool weather at all. My winter coat is still coming in, so I just huddled down in one of my favorite places to keep warm. Momma took this picture from the deck. With this weather my coat should be getting long...I hope it hurries! I get pretty LAZY in the cold.

Hi, Patrick here!
I was enjoying the last few days of our LAZY, hazy days of summer in this photo. We do not like cold weather. When it is really hot I lay out in the blazing sun for hours. In the winter time we get to spend some nights in the basement. I like that!

See what other folks have as their LAZY photos over at

Wordy Wednesday ~ Napoleon

Cat lovers can readily be identified.
Their clothes always look old and well used.
Their sheets look like bath towels and
their bath look like a collection of knitting mistakes.

-Eric Gurney-

Hi, Napoleon here!
I'd like to thank Laila and Minchie
again for this great food I have to eat because of CRF.
Can you tell I love it?
Momma thanks you, too as it will help her save lots of green papers.
Thanks again!

~ Napoleon

We are all thankful for the rain today.

Photo Hunt ~ Sad

With coarse rice to eat, with water to drink,
and my bent arm for a pillow --
I have still joy in the midst of all these things.

-Confucius-
This weeks Photo Hunt word is SAD.
We were sad last Thursday when we found out I am diabetic. Mom has always worried that may happen with one of us. I have needles and insulin and am well on my way to getting regulated. Mom has always been a little afraid of needles, but after giving Napoleon sub-q's with a needle as big as a tree, the diabetic needle is easy! We are getting a lot of information and some websites to visit from our furiends at The Cat Blogosphere! Thank you so much and we are checking them all out.

Hope every bean and every fur has a great week end.

Maggie Mae Doctor's report

When It Rains, It Pours
-
Momma-

I've lost some weight lately and I drink a LOT of water.
Momma took Sara and me to the vet yesterday
because she does not want us to be sick.
Sara is on hyper-T medicine.
The VET called today and said I am diabetic.
We have to go back today and learn how to inject insulin.
We don't want to, but we will.
Any knowledge about this appreciated in comments!
Momma didn't make up that quote, but today it's hers'
