Remembering Georgia

Just this side of Heaven is a place......

Hi Napoleon here.
A year ago today my little sisfur Georgia had to leave for
The Rainbow Bridge
She was such a tiny little kitten, and I was her protector.
I loved her very much.

Sometimes she didn't exactly love me back.
I loved her anyway.

I know she is waiting at The Bridge,
playing in the meadows chasing butterflies.
I love you Georgia and miss you so.....
Love, your brofur..

Zoey, Turtle and Maggie Mae

The turtle lays thousands of eggs without anyone knowing,
but when the hen lays an egg, the whole country is informed.

Zoey is home! Prayers have been answered. What an amazing place Find Toto is! TNChick has the full story on her blog.

Our vet found a Box Turtle rehab person. We are so grateful, because he just would not eat for us. You know if Mom worried about the two worms she found for him, she surely worried about Turtle. He is in good hands now.
We are very appreciative for all the comments and help about how to care for him!

Maggie Mae was thinking about sharing her tummy, but changed her mind.

Purrs and Prayers continue for Orange Boy and Storm.
As always, visit the Cat Blogosphere for all the news!

Mancat Noah and Turtle

Turtles are cynics, they always expect the worst.
Why?
I dunno, cos it often happens to them I suppose.
-Terry Pratchett-

We still have Turtle. He does not like the aquarium.
He hides under the grass and hay.
Mom went outside and got him two worms, then she put them back outside. She does not like to see anything get hurt, and that would have hurt the worms.
Turtle has not eaten that we know of. We have put many things in for him to eat. Maybe we can find a re-hab place that can care for him. You can see some of his damage in the pictures.
We are still looking for suggestions on his care.

We continue to pray for Zoey's safe return!

~ Noah

Turtle on Sunday

A turtle only moves ahead
by sticking it's head out

Mom's bean (she does not live here) got this turtle away from her two dogs. He has damage on the back of his shell. Not deep, but it did have some blood. We are not going to let it go yet. We can't return him to where the dogs are, as they will find him again.
Everything we've read states that a relocated turtle faces certain death, therefore should be put back as close to the original place where found.
We could keep him, but we'd rather him be free to be a turtle. In the meantime, any suggestions about food? We've put fruit, Mom even went and got some worms but he has not eaten anything that we know of.

Photo Hunt ~ Twisted

~ Dare to be brave ~

Run. Run fast as you can!
See that Vishus Deer??

Well, we don't really need to be brave around our friend the deer. She and all of her friends come right up to us. We think, sometimes, they would jump right in our yard!

We're waiting for some sweet feed!
See the orange rope TWISTED on the fence?
That is where Mom had to tie it to a pole to keep the dogs from getting in and chasing us. They got in three times!
The v-e-t had to come see about me. My leg was hurting bad.

See the fur on the fence? That is where we rub our Winter coats off. The birds use it for their nests.

Noah watching..

Cats look beyond appearances,
beyond species entirely, it seems,
to peer into the heart
-Barbara L. Diamond-

Looking back in her old pictures of us, Mom found this one of me.
She said it reminds her of the picture of the wolf titled 'Watcher'
I was just watching for one of my sisfurs to jump on the bed.
Happy Friday, everyfur and bean!

Mancat Monday ~ Timothy

God has created the cat to give man the pleasure of caressing the tiger
-Theophile Gautier-

Hi, Timothy here.
I live here because my first mom left her husband and left me, too! I guess he didn't like me because he tossed me out on the street.
When I first got here I was matted and dirty and sad.

I am a very loving cat, and my 'now mom' just does not understand how anyone could throw me away like that. She said I'm a fine
Mancat!

I am very happy to be here with my brofurs and sisfurs, but sometimes I like to chase them. Anna Sue and Miss Emily are especially fun to chase. They and mom do not think the same as I do.

I have a lot of experience with the squirt bottle!

Nail Trimming and Grooming..ugh!

Cat's eyes seem a bridge to a world beyond the one we know
-Lynn Holly-

Spa day!

Today Mom decided everyfur here needed our claws trimmed!
We did not agree at all.
As you can see, I hide mine well.
We try to ignore her when she comes at us with the brushes, combs and clippers.

It does not work.

Never doubt that a small group of concerned citizens can change the world.
Indeed, it's the only thing that ever has.

who lost her battle with kidney disease.
