Still with me ...
Such an amazing outpouring of love for this precious cat that it has been my privilege to live with for the past 13 years.
The doctors said it is cancer.
I brought her home for the weekend, because she is still has happy moments.
I will take her in next week, and it will be one of the hardest things I've ever done, because she is still a happy cat. She walks with that tail high and her eyes are bright and inquisitive and so very loving.
Doctors said it would be fine to bring her home, and have pain meds.
She's eating (with and without my help), drinking, and using the litter box, although she 'did' get her nickname, Pissy Prissy Princess, by sometimes not using the litter box.
I want a few more years with her, but will have to settle for a couple of days, because I want her to leave before this terrible thing causes her to lose her bright and beautiful, trusting eyes. Yes, she trusts me, and I cannot let her down.
Thank you all so very much for your wonderful love and support for Georgia and me.
Do keep us in your prayers. I will need them all.
I so love this little cat.

In writing to another blogger, I gave my website to them.
Much to my surprise, when reading over it, I saw that Georgia and Napoleon are 15 not 13.
My sweet Georgia is older than I though she was.
This does not make it any easier at all, but did want to correct myself.
Thank you all again for the emails and comments about her. She has eaten twice today, so far, and is sleeping. I can see the tumor now...**tears**
What a great supportive group of people you are!

My sweet Georgia & her brofur Napoleon
~ There is one way in which cats differ from all other animals
and that is in the effect they have on human beings ~

I'm taking my Georgia in tomorrow for the doctors to see if they can do anything about the growth under her tongue. I chose to do that, in case there's any chance at all she can be saved. They will knock her out to get a close look and feel it.
She has trouble sleeping at night, and is on pain medication, but has started pawing at her mouth more and having a great deal of trouble eating, although I do hand feed her..

She is 13 years old.
If you have purrs, prayers and healing thoughts,
she and I would appreciate it.
I love her so, so much, but don't want her to suffer.

Tagged For Thinking Blogger Award!
With my little Georgia sick, I'll probably be too brief, but do want to get my five blogs listed.
1. If, and only if, you get tagged, write a post with links to 5 blogs that make you think,
2. Link to this post so that people can easily find the exact origin of the meme,
3. Optional: Proudly display the 'Thinking Blogger Award' with a link to the post that you wrote (here is an alternative silver version if gold doesn't fit your blog).
This is what Flip Flop Floozie said about my blog:
Cats~Goats~Quotes I have just lately found this blog. If you love cats (and well you know that I do) you will like going here. She has so many beautiful cats and some great stories to go along with them. Stop by and see her.
This is what Daisy said:
Cats~Goats~Quotes blog. This blog makes me think about other animals, too.
Like the plight of Mona, the elephant. Or hurricane Katrina animals. And Bob and Patrick, the cute goats.
Wow, I've never been called a Thinker! I guess a little bit of thinking is needed to blog. Mostly I have to think about the code all the dots and brackets and slashes! Sometimes, well a lot of times, they confuse me :)
Thanks Daisy and Floozie!
Here are my choices.
~ 1 is No Jumping From The Bridge
She is amazing with her cat shelter work, her adoptions of the cats and triple amazing for her support of the Elephants. Do go check her blog for some really good news!
~ 2 is Katrina Creatures and Critters She may not can join in, but do read her blog, let's not forget the Katrina Victims.
~ 3 is Kellie the Orange Cat
This beautiful cat has the prettiest colors! She's had a vet visit, and is on the mend! We're sending her good thoughts!
~ 4 is Parker
There are some yummy things to eat and a gorgeous sponsored kitty named Buddy from Best Friends!
~5 is Oh so many!.. This is for all the blogs I didn't list! I can spend hours sitting here reading the most interesting blogs! Thank you all and thank you all for visiting me and my Kitty-Cats and The Boyz!
If my nominees are busy, or have already been nominated, it's OK to not make a post :)
Thank you for the prayers, purrs and good wishes for Georgia. She is here, she eats (with a little help from me) and drinks and walks around and sleeps.

My Sweet Georgia Girl
When you're special to a cat, you're special indeed -
she brings to you the gift of her preference of you,
the sight of you, the sound of your voice,
the touch of your hand.
the sight of you, the sound of your voice,
the touch of your hand.
-- Lenore Fleischer --
My little Georgia is not well. If you read my blog, you will see that she was at the vet earlier this month. We got an antibiotic to clear up her gums. On Monday, when going in for blood work to have her teeth cleaned, a growth was discovered in her lower mouth/tongue. The vet said there was nothing they could do for it, but I can pray and keep positive thoughts for this 13 year old precious cat. Her appetite is good, and we are going to take one day at a time.
Good thoughts and prayers and lots of purrs will be appreciated by both of us!

Yard Sale, Tag Sale
~ One mans trash..... ~
With storms predicted, there were not many sales this weekend. One was at a school and I found a few treasures there for my booth at Nellybee's. My favorite find was in a 'neighborhood' sale. Several houses had items in the yard, on the carport or sidewalk, but this very heavy elephant shelf is my favorite find of the day!
There are two shelves, one being right below the elephants. It's made completely of wrought iron, two feet high, one foot wide. There are hooks below the bottom shelf. The home owner had mostly Africa theme items. I'm still considering keeping this! Only problem is, I have no where to hang such a heavy piece! I'm pricing it high, tho, so it will stay in my booth for a while for me to enjoy! Friday, April 13, 2007

There is so much to learn about blogs and I found a wonderful bunch of very nice, patient teachers. Their badge is in my sidebar. Sometimes I have to read instructions a few more times than once before it sinks in ~smile~ but I sure do enjoy it! Also looking at other blogs (they are over there on my sidebar, too) gives me good ideas to try. Some of these are absolutely amazing and great fun to read!!
So, right now my Hobby is Blogging about my CATS!

Holly Hobbie, Snoopy & Woodstock
~ He who has 1,000 friends
has none to spare ~
has none to spare ~
My aunt will be moving, and asked me if I'd help her clean her attic of things that someone had stored 25-30 years ago, and she'd let me have all the stuff.
There was a lot of non-useable things that had to be thrown away, and not a lot that I could put in my booth. I will be able to put these Holly Hobbie figurines in, tho.
My favorite one is...the Cat! I like the lamb, too.
Yard sales were not productive, being that it was freezing here, with a few snow flurries. Maybe Snoopy and Woodstock will catch someones eye :)

These were some of my Easter bunnies at my booth. I noticed yesterday some of them have been sold. I hope they look nice in their new homes :)
As far as Spring....It's going to be in the 20's here, so will probably bring the goats into the basement since they have been shedding their winter coats for several weeks.

Anyone Want A KITTEN?
~ Every year millions of healthy cats and dogs are killed
in shelters and pounds in America.
An unaltered pair of cats and their offspring could produce
420,000 kittens in seven years.
A female dog and her offspring, over 67,000 puppies.
Please spay or neuter your family pet,
let's have no more homeless animals ~
I'm not giving kittens away! Miss Emily and Sara have been a part of my family over ten years.
My heading today is mostly anger at people that let their cats keep having kittens, over and over.
As some of you know, I go to tag/yard/estate sales. I found a nice little cat bed at one this weekend and mentioned I had cats. The woman asked me if I wanted some kittens. Being on a very limited income, I had to refuse. She said she had *two* cats with kittens. She had 12 kittens.
After telling her I could not possibly take any more cats, I told her to be sure to get her cats spayed as soon as possible. She looked at me like my head had just come off my shoulders and bounced over the house and back to my shoulders. She has no intention of spaying her cats.
More cats in shelters, more cats in pounds, more cats on the street to die untimely deaths, more cats to make more cats.
I know I'm preaching mostly to the choir, but at least I got it out of my system, until next weekend.
